Palace declares special holidays in 5 areas

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in five municipalities that will celebrate their founding and Charter anniversaries as well as festivals this month.
Proclamation 922 declared June 16, tomorrow, a special non-working holiday in Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur for the celebration of the town’s 69th founding anniversary.
Tomorrow is also a special non-working holiday in Cagayan de Oro City for the commemoration of its Charter Day.
“To allow residents of Cagayan de Oro City to participate and enjoy the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested that June 16 be declared a special non-working day in lieu of June 15,” Malacañang said.
Meanwhile, June 21 is a special non-working day in Laurel, Batangas as provided under Proclamation 923 for the commemoration of the town’s 56th founding anniversary.
Proclamation 924 declared June 24 a special non-working day in Lian, also in Batangas, for the celebration of the Sambuhos Festival.
Malacañang also issued Proclamation 926 declaring June 25 a non-working holiday in Sadanga, Mountain Province, which will celebrate its 62nd founding anniversary.
